Import a website table into Google Sheets
IMPORTHTML works for public pages with simple tables. For dashboards, pages behind a login or grids built from div elements, copy the table from your own browser instead.
How it works
- Public page with a plain table: in Sheets type =IMPORTHTML("url", "table", 1).
- Page behind a login or a dashboard: open it in Chrome and click the Table to Excel icon.
- Press Copy and paste into Google Sheets: columns and rows stay in place.

FAQ
Why does IMPORTHTML return an error or an empty result?
Google fetches the page from its own servers, so it cannot see pages behind a login, and it misses tables drawn by JavaScript. Table to Excel reads the page you already have open.
Does it work with grids that are not real tables?
Yes. It also finds role="grid" tables used by many dashboards and admin panels.
Will numbers stay numbers in Sheets?
Copy and CSV keep the text as shown. Pro converts formats like 1.234,56 and $1,234.56 into real numbers in .xlsx.
